Form Change

Description

A champion transforms into a different form mid-fight. It is still the same unit on the same hex — nothing new is created and nothing is replaced, which is what separates this from a summon or a clone — but the form it turns into has different numbers and sometimes a different ability altogether. Three champions do it. Elise turns into a spider, gains a block of max Health, and her attacks in that form deal bonus magic damage and heal her. Gnar builds Rage over the fight and then turns into Mega Gnar, gaining Health and swapping his ability for a throw. Nidalee reads which stat you built her for: with Ability Power she stays ranged and throws javelins, with Attack Damage she turns into a melee cougar that swipes at enemies. The practical reading: the form is where the power is, so the numbers on the pre-form kit undersell the champion, and with Nidalee the items you give her decide which kit you get.

  • Spider Queen
Transform into a spider and gain 375 / 475 / 725 max Health. Attacks while in Spider Form deal 35 / 50 / 80 Ability Power bonus magic damage and heal for 55 / 90 / 170 Ability Power. Subsequent casts grant 175% decaying Attack Speed for 4 seconds.
  • Javelin Toss
Adaptor Ability Power: Gain 150% Attack Speed for the next 3 attacks. These attacks are replaced with javelins that deal 170 / 255 / 2000 Ability Power magic damage. The 3rd attack instead targets the furthest enemy with the least items and deals 285 / 425 / 3000 Ability Power magic damage.

Adaptor Attack Damage: Transform into a Melee cougar Assassin that swipes enemies.
  • Rage Gene
Passive: Gain 5 / 5 / 50 Rage per second and 5 Rage per attack.

Active: Transform into Mega Gnar and leap into the largest group of enemies within 3 hexes. Then, deal 100 / 150 / 2000 Attack Damage physical damage to enemies within 2 / 2 / 10 hexes, reduce their Armor and Magic Resist by 15 / 20 / 100 Ability Power, and Stun them for 1 / 1 / 15 second. Mega Gnar gains 400 / 600 / 10000 Health, and replaces his Ability with Grab n' Throw.

Grab n' Throw: Throw the target at the farthest enemy, dealing 380 / 570 / 9000 Attack Damage physical damage to them and 135 / 205 / 4500 Attack Damage physical damage to enemies they pass through. If there's only 1 enemy left, throw them off the battlefield instead.
