Description
A stronger version of a finished item. It does the same job as the normal one with much bigger numbers, and several add a small extra effect on top. None of them has a recipe, so you cannot build one out of components -- the only way to get one is to be handed it, which makes augments and wisps the whole supply. They hand them over in different ways: one gives you a fixed one, one lets you pick from a short offer, some flip a coin that can pay out a chest of them, and one gives you a special pair of gloves that re-equips two random ones every round. Most are yours to keep. One is only a loan -- partway through a fight it turns an item you already own into its stronger form, and the change wears off.

Frequently asked questions
-
How do you get Radiant items?
You cannot build one. Crafting only makes finished items, emblems or tactician items, so components never combine into a Radiant. They arrive whole. Prismatic augments are the main supply — one gives a fixed one, one offers a choice of five, one grants an item that re-equips two every round, one flips a coin for a Radiant chest. The richest loot orbs also drop that chest, and a consumable upgrades a finished item into its Radiant form. A wisp lends one mid-fight.
-
How many Radiant items are there, and does every item have one?
There are 36 — one for every finished item, paired one to one, with none missing on either side. Components, emblems and Artifacts have no Radiant form, so a Radiant item can never hand a champion a trait. Each keeps its base item's job with much bigger numbers; a few also stretch a duration or ease a condition. So a Radiant is a louder version of an item you already know, not a new effect. Browse the pairs on the items page.
-
What do people mean when they say a Radiant item is worth about 30 gold?
It is a rough value scale, not a price. A widely used reference rates a component at about 8 gold, a finished item at about 12, and a Radiant one at about 30 — so one Radiant is worth roughly two and a half finished items. Use it to compare offers; the game never charges or pays those amounts. Selling a champion returns its equipped items to your item bench, not gold.
-
Is a carry with two Radiant items better than one with three normal items?
On that value scale, yes: two Radiant items score about 60, three finished ones about 36. But a champion holds three items, and the empty slot still costs you a whole effect, while a Radiant only amplifies what its base item already did. Two Radiant items plus a third finished one scores highest of all. Judge by the hole the missing slot leaves, not by the score alone.
-
Can I craft a Radiant item, or upgrade a normal one into it?
No — you cannot build one. Components combine only into finished items, and two special components instead make emblems or team-size items. No Radiant version has a recipe, and nothing outside combat upgrades an item you already own. They are handed to you: augments grant one outright or offer a short list to pick from, and a consumable chest opens a small armory of Radiant items suited to one champion.
-
If something turns my item Radiant during a fight, do I keep it?
No. A wisp — a single-use combat buy from your shop — can turn one random equipped item into its Radiant form part-way through the fight, and it reverts when the fight ends. Radiant items handed to you outside combat, from an augment or a reward chest, are permanent and stay on your board. If it appeared mid-fight, treat it as a loan. See what lasts and what does not.
-
Do Radiant items take up extra item slots?
No. A champion holds up to three items, and a Radiant one fills a single slot exactly like a finished item. The exception is the item that equips two random items for you each round: it takes the whole champion, so nothing else fits on that unit, and the items it hands out go on at the start of the round and come off at the end rather than landing on your bench. Otherwise it is a straight swap — one slot, far more power.
-
Can I take a Radiant item off a champion, or change it into a different one?
Yes, through consumables. One is used on a champion and unequips all of its items, returning them to you; it cannot be used on a champion already fighting. The other unequips everything and randomly transforms each item into a new one of similar type and quality, staying inside the same category — an emblem only ever becomes another emblem. Neither breaks items down into components, so a Radiant one comes back whole.
-
Which Radiant items are the best?
There is no single ranking, and this site does not publish one — the right pick depends on your carry. Every Radiant keeps its base item's job: the same effect with much bigger numbers. A handful go further, stretching a duration or easing a condition, and one changes what it hands out rather than how much. Ask which finished item your board already wanted, then take its Radiant twin. Compare the pairs on the items page.
-
Is a Radiant item ever the wrong pick?
Yes. No emblem, Artifact or component has a Radiant form, so a Radiant never fixes a missing trait breakpoint. It can bait you too: the Radiant of an item your board does not want loses to a finished item it does. And when a reward gambles one Radiant chest against two picks from a finished-item offer, the picks may suit a board that still needs breadth. The stats are always bigger; the fit decides.
