Description
How many units on your board count toward a trait. Every trait bonus turns on at a unit count, so the whole game is about pushing counts over the next line, and a family of effects plays with the number directly instead of with the units. Some raise it. An emblem hands a champion a trait it was not born with, so it counts for that trait too. An Avatar's chosen trait is counted twice. Apex Predator grants two to the Riftbeast trait, and Master of All Origins gives you a Lux worth two of her chosen trait. Phantom Splash goes further and switches on up to two traits you do not have enough units for at all, at their lowest level. Others read the number and pay you for it: Stand United and Diversified pay per non-unique trait you have active, Bronze for Life pays per trait sitting at its bronze tier, and Trait Ladder hands out rewards for fielding a rising number of them. "Non-unique" is the wording that excludes traits only one champion can ever have, so those effects reward a wide board rather than a stacked one.
